This wedding was filled with places that I couldn’t pronounce without some serious coaching. A few weeks ago, I drove through the hills and valleys of Newville to reach Camp Yolijwa where Sara and Ryan got married. Though thunderstorms loomed the entire morning and afternoon, it didn’t start raining until Sara and Ryan were on their way to the reception. The ceremony was held in a beautiful outdoor chapel area that was set apart from the camp by a short hike. After the ceremony, Sara and Ryan partied at nearby Bongiorno Conference Center. Besides having Chicken Cordon Bleu (one of my personal favorites), Ryan also serenaded Sara with a Johnny Cash song complete with acoustic guitar and amplified, distorted ukulele.
