How did you get your start?
My dad was a wedding photographer before I was born, so I guess you could say I was born into it. I shot my first wedding in 2008, and very quickly realized how much I enjoyed the frenzied joy that a wedding day is.
Where are you based?
I live in Halifax, which is a small town north of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. A majority of my weddings are in the South-Central PA area: Harrisburg, Camp Hill, Mechanicsburg, Lancaster, and Lebanon. I’ve also photographed in New York, Delaware, New Jersey, Maryland, and Virginia.
How would you describe your style?
You should really check out my galleries (weddings, engagements, family) first… but since you insist: I’m a relaxed and romantic photojournalist for most of the day, with an eye for moments and details. For portions of the day, like portraits or group photos, I’ll step into the role of director – helping my couples look and feel their very best.
Do you work alone?
For most weddings, yes. I like to think that I do a great job capturing moments unobtrusively with a very light presence. With that said, sometimes a wedding can benefit from a second photographer. I’m happy to help you figure out what is right for your wedding.
How do you handle bad weather or poor lighting?
The weather in Central Pennsylvania can be unpredictable, for sure. That’s why I do my best to be prepared by having weather-sealed cameras and equipment, portable lighting, and an extra umbrella (or two). Take a look at two weddings I shot in rain, and you’ll see they offer a uniquely different but equally beautiful look to your wedding day.
Do you include digital images with your packages?
Yes, I do. All my wedding and portrait packages offer edited images from the wedding in high-resolution JPG format. Images are edited to a style consistent with what you see on my blog and website. Additionally, I include a print-release so that you may print images on your own. I also offer professional printing that offers a much higher-quality at prices just a little bit more than local stores.
How long does it take to get my images back?
Normally, less than four weeks for weddings, and less than two weeks for engagement and portrait sessions. Turn-around time may increase during peak times (such as fall).
Star Wars or Star Trek?
Ok, so no one has ever asked me this question, but if they did, it would be Star Wars, only because time-travel still blows my mind.
Can We Meet?
Absolutely! If you’re in the area, we can grab coffee somewhere. If you’re from out of the area, we can Skype/FaceTime, or chat on the phone. Shoot me a message right now:
