I think Elias wanted me to photograph Kristin and Joel’s wedding. If you are a blog-stalker, you may have noticed the one lone post from last week. In that I post, I had a chance to introduce Elias Joel Gearhart to the world, or at least the world that reads my blog… large or small audience as that may be. Elias gave us a little scare earlier that morning, sending us into the hospital the morning of a wedding. Even though I had a very kind and talented photographer on backup (thanks, Rachael!), whose work you can check out here, I still felt an obligation to Kristin and Joel. Anyway, I was able to show up after all and photograph a wonderful wedding. Even with nerves a little frayed and not a whole lot of sleep, both Joel and Kristin’s families welcomed us and made us feel right at home. I give bonus points to Joel and his groomsman for climbing all around the grounds of Daybreak Church in Mechanicsburg, and Kristin and her girls for being willing to let me experiment a bit. Oh, and not just one, but two epic jumping shots… Later, at the reception, I came to understand that Joel was not only the craziest dancer I’ve ever seen, but also quite a talented singer – serenading Kristin with a surprise acapela performance. There’s even a link to the video of the performance, shot by a good friend of the couple. Simply, it was awesome.
I’ve blabbed long enough. How about some pictures?
The first epic jumping shot…
Oh yeah, so Kristin and Joel made a game about not being able to see each other before the wedding… pretty cool, and funny!
The second pretty epic jumping shot…

and the YouTube video… UPDATE (10/31): Thanks to Daniel Hoppes for the following video! I’m still trying to find the name of the guy that shot this, if you know, let me know!
You guys were the bomb, if I’m allowed to bring that 90’s phrase into the 2000s that is. There’s a bunch of photos in the gallery, here. Please leave a comment for these two!
