Just this past Saturday, I photographed Jess and Matt’s wedding in Wilmington, DE. From the moment we walked into the sanctuary, there was a sort of nervous and joyful anticipation for what was soon to take place. These guys got ready in separate rooms in the same church, so the early afternoon was fraught with a lot of carefully coordinated movements of everyone around the church. As if there wasn’t enough excitement, this day would be the day that Matt kissed Jess for the first time. Other things that made the day special:
- Flower girls posing from across the church aisle (see below)
- Dancing grandmothers (see below)
- The most violent cake smashing I’ve seen (also, see below)
I guess you’ll just have to take a look at these photos, then…
Oh yeah… middle of the ceremony, totally posing for me from across the room. A – dor – able!
We went out for some photos of just the couple at sunset… magical light.
The next three images are Kyle’s:
Thanks to Kyle for second shooting, and a special thanks to Pickles and Chips Sandwich Shop in Wilmington for selling me a discounted sandwich because I was short $0.50. If you are ever hungry before a wedding, or you’re just hungry, I’d highly recommend them. Anyway, I wish Jess and Matt the best, and Jess, I hope you enjoyed your surprise honeymoon destination! Photos from the whole wedding are here.
