Liz and Oliver’s wedding truly has a special place in my heart. The most amazing thing about this wedding? It almost didn’t even happen! Just two weeks before the wedding, Oliver (who is a German Citizen) had trouble finalizing his US visa paperwork. It took the dedicated work of many people, including several US Senators and Representatives to clear the “red-tape” as they say and allow Oliver to marry Liz! Other things that were special:
- half of the family and friends traveled nearly 4,000 miles one way to attend the ceremony.
- there were more people with PhDs than Kyle and I have camera lenses, combined.
- a ceremony filled with German and American Wedding traditions
- a chance for me to use the two German words I know: Danke, and Wunderbar!
The day was filled with joy, laughter, and a lot of crazy dancing. I hadn’t heard any German dance music before, but one thing is for sure: Oliver can tear up the dance floor. Totally awesome day. Thanks again to Kyle for second shooting with me. You’ll see many of his pictures below.
Enjoy the pictures, and don’t forget to leave a comment below. Thanks!
