The weather forecast hadn’t been looking good for days. 70%, 80%, 90% chance of rain, the weather man said. Still, two brave people held out hope and planned for an outdoor wedding ceremony. Katie and Derek’s wedding was a practical demonstration that God answers prayers. Especially prayers from brides! The morning of the wedding, even I was losing hope. During the car ride over to Whispering Pines, I had to use my wipers, but as I stepped out of the car to head inside, the rain eased up. In just 2 hours, the sun would be out and shining brightly. So brightly, in fact, that my second photographer for the day, Brianna, got a sun burn!
What a fantastic day. I’d like to thank Brianna for shooting with me, the great folks at Whispering Pines for being so flexible, and Eric at Power Company Entertainment for being one of the best DJs I’ve worked with in a while.
Anyway, off to the pictures:
One of Derek’s groomsmen found a four-leaf clover in the field…
I think Katie’s expression tells us how grateful she was for good weather on her wedding day! Probably my favorite!
Katie and Derek, thank you, thank you, thank you! You guys were so much fun to work with, and thanks for your trust. Best wishes on your northern cruise!
